Pros and cons
What Folk does especially well — and the limits to anticipate.
Pros
- Light, fast interface, minimal learning curve
- Built-in contact enrichment without a third-party tool
- Collaborative by design: shared pipelines without heavy setup
Cons
- No permanent free plan, only a 14-day trial
- Enrichment and message credits pooled per workspace, not per user
- Less functional depth than a full sales CRM (no advanced forecasting)
Folk: when it makes sense.
Worth it solo or in a small team for lightweight relationship management; watch credit consumption from 3+ active users up.
Keep if
You want a lightweight CRM for relationships (recruiting, sales, partnerships) without Salesforce-level overhead. You use contact enrichment regularly but at moderate volume
- You use it at least once a week
- The monthly cost (€27) is small next to the time it saves you
Challenge if
Your team enriches contacts at high volume: pooled credits run out fast. You need a permanent free plan to test without commitment
- You use it less than once a month
- A simple free version or a tool already in your stack would do
