Pros and cons
What Yousign does especially well — and the limits to anticipate.
Pros
- eIDAS compliance included from the entry tier.
- French hosting and ANSSI certification.
- Solid API for embedding signatures.
- Simple interface, built for SMBs.
Cons
- No permanent free tier.
- Per-user pricing rises with team size.
- The API offering is billed separately by volume.
Yousign: when it makes sense.
Yousign makes sense for a European company signing regularly with compliance requirements; for occasional signing, a free tool suffices.
Keep if
You have contracts signed regularly.. European compliance (eIDAS, GDPR) and French hosting matter to you.
- You use it at least once a week
- The monthly cost (€9) is small next to the time it saves you
Challenge if
You only need a document signed occasionally.. You're outside Europe and eIDAS compliance doesn't apply.
- You use it less than once a month
- A simple free version or a tool already in your stack would do
