Universe is Red Giant's library of GPU-accelerated effects and transitions. It bundles dozens of editing tools: stylish transitions, glitch and retro effects, text and line generators, gradients, holomatrix. Its appeal is speed and trendiness: you add modern effects editors love in one click, without building them by hand.

A big advantage over the other Red Giant suites: Universe works in many hosts (After Effects, Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut, Vegas). It was historically Red Giant's most accessible product, sometimes sold alone; today Maxon pushes the Red Giant Complete subscription (~$50/month) that includes it. Weigh it against your editing app's native transitions and template packs (Envato, MotionArray) if you want to spend less.
