Pros and cons
What Bitwarden does especially well — and the limits to anticipate.
Pros
- Open source and auditable, rare transparency in the category
- Already very complete free version, no password limit
- Premium price much lower than 1Password or LastPass for similar features
Cons
- Less polished interface than 1Password, especially on some mobile apps
- Smaller support community than paid leaders
- Advanced team features less rich than 1Password Business
Bitwarden: when it makes sense.
Excellent default choice, especially the free version; 1Password remains more polished if budget isn't a concern.
Keep if
You want a serious password manager without paying. Open-source transparency matters to you
Challenge if
You want the most polished interface on the market regardless of price. You need very advanced team features (1Password Business)
