Pros and cons
What Glide does especially well — and the limits to anticipate.
Pros
- Functional apps built in hours or a few weeks with no coding
- Native Google Sheets integration, handy for already existing data
- Active community sharing templates and advice
Cons
- More expensive than many similar no-code platforms
- No direct publishing to the App Store or Google Play
- Push notifications, undo button, and some basic features missing; strong lock-in if the platform changes
Glide: when it makes sense.
Worth it for internal tools and lightweight portals; not for a consumer app on the stores.
Keep if
You want an internal tool or lightweight portal based on an existing spreadsheet. You don't need native publishing on app stores
- You use it at least once a week
- The monthly cost (€15) is small next to the time it saves you
Challenge if
You want to publish a real app on the App Store or Google Play. You manage large data volumes or complex automations
- You use it less than once a month
- A simple free version or a tool already in your stack would do
